Ondoy, a typhoon that hits Philippines last Saturday, September 26, 2006. I never thought of it as a typhoon because early that morning the weather was fine. Here in Cebu we thought it was just an ordinary rain that would only stop for a few hours but when I heard the news the next day, some places near Manila and the capital itself was flush flooded and many people died, cars were soaked and even small houses and tall buildings, the water rises on the 3rd floor, we didn't expect anything like this. It was surreal, my first thought was my brother who is working there but luckily he was assigned in Batangas. I quickly texted my brother if he's fine then he said he's okay but the house where we stayed when we paved a visited for him last July was soaked, I thought how? that is a 3 stories building, I said to myself "is that how high the water rises the time of the typhoon?', I really can't believe it.
I cannot help myself if I was there. How can I survive with the happenings.
